NIXOID watches use authentic vintage display technologies, including Nixie tubes, VFD displays, Numitron tubes and retro LED indicators.
Many of these components were manufactured decades ago and are now increasingly rare.
Yes. We use genuine vintage Nixie, VFD and Numitron indicators, as well as genuine retro LED indicators, depending on the model.
The service life of the indicators is very long — typically tens of thousands of hours of continuous operation.
Actual service life depends on the specific indicator and operating conditions.
Depending on the model, the time can be displayed by pressing a button or by using a motion sensor.
An accelerometer allows the watch to detect movement and display the time when you make the appropriate hand gesture.
Without an accelerometer, the time is displayed by pressing a button.
Depending on the model, functions may include time, date, year, battery indication, 12/24-hour format, accuracy correction, stopwatch, timer, animations, backlight and sleep mode.
Yes. Models that support this function have a corresponding accuracy adjustment option in the settings.
Yes, depending on the model. The format can be selected in the watch settings, while some models require the format to be selected when ordering.
The 12-hour format divides the day into two 12-hour periods using AM and PM. The 24-hour format displays the full day continuously from 00:00 to 23:59.
Battery life depends on the model, configuration and how the watch is used.
As a general reference, watches with an accelerometer can provide approximately 5–10 days of active use and up to 25–30 days in standby mode. Watches without an accelerometer can provide approximately 20–25 days of use and around 40 days in standby mode.
Yes. Watches with an accelerometer consume additional power because the sensor continually monitors movement.
Actual battery life also depends on how frequently the watch is activated and used.
Like all rechargeable batteries, the battery gradually loses capacity over time. The battery can be replaced when necessary.
Please contact us for replacement service.
Depending on the model, charging from 0% to approximately 80% takes around 30 minutes, while a full charge may take approximately 60–120 minutes.
Use a standard 5V power source rated at 1–2A, such as a computer, laptop, power bank or suitable USB charger.
Do not use 9V or 12V fast-charging modes unless the specific model explicitly supports them.
You can charge the watch whenever convenient. The required charging frequency depends on the model and your usage.
NIXOID NEXT indicates the battery level through the backlight. The exact indication can be checked in the NIXOID NEXT manual.
Sapphire crystal provides significantly better scratch resistance than mineral glass and is the preferred option for models equipped with it.
Depending on the model, NIXOID watches use CNC-machined aluminum alloys, other selected materials or engineered polymer components.
Please check the specifications of the individual model for exact materials.
Weight depends on the model, case and configuration. Please check the specifications of the individual watch for the exact weight.
Yes. Depending on the model, standard replacement straps can be used. Please check the strap width and fastening system specified for your particular watch.
Water resistance depends on the model.
Some NIXOID watches are splash resistant and can be used while washing your hands or in light rain, but they are not designed for swimming or prolonged immersion unless the specific model is explicitly rated for it.
Always check the specifications of your particular model before exposing it to water.
The standard package includes the watch, strap, charging cable and instructions. Packaging and included accessories may vary depending on the model.
Yes. Replacement straps, charging cables and selected parts are available depending on the model and current stock.
Please contact us if you need a specific replacement part.
Yes. Custom engraving is available for selected watches.
Add the engraving service to your order together with the watch, then contact info@nixoid.store with the engraving details.
Each watch comes with instructions explaining how to set the time and use its functions.
Available manuals can be found on our Manuals page.
Yes. Every NIXOID watch is covered by a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
If a component is damaged, please contact us. Depending on the situation, damaged parts may be replaced or the watch may be serviced or repaired.
Yes. If your NIXOID watch requires repair, contact info@nixoid.store with a description of the problem.
Stop using the damaged cable and contact us if you need a replacement.
Magnetic charging connectors can cause a short circuit if they come into contact with conductive metal objects.
Not necessarily. Motion-sensor models require the correct hand movement and tilt speed to activate reliably.
If the watch consistently fails to respond to the correct gesture, please contact us so we can help determine whether there is a problem with the sensor.
Rare Models contains unique, limited, experimental and one-off NIXOID watches.
These pieces may be created in very small quantities and can be used to explore new designs, technologies or concepts.
Availability is limited and some pieces may never be produced again.
Many of the vintage display components used in NIXOID watches were manufactured decades ago and are no longer in production.
Our supply of certain tubes is therefore limited. Some indicators have already become difficult or impossible to source, and particular models may eventually be discontinued when their available components are exhausted.
This is also why some NIXOID models are produced only in limited quantities.
